1) If we say ‘Qaal
al-Musanif’ who or what are we talking about?
We are saying that “the author said” something, and since we are
studying Nukhbat al Fikar in this course, we are referring to what the author
of this text has said—which would be “ibn
Hajr al-Asqalani said”.
2) What are the
conditions of Tawatur? Please explain each one.
There are four conditions: 1. There must be many chains of narration. 2. The
chains of narration should be continued generation after generation. 3. It
is impossible that the narrators as a whole speak a lie.
4. The narrations must be based
on the senses (i.e. each narrator saw and heard the person they took the hadith
from).
3) What did
Imam al-Ghazali say about the condition of numerous narrators in everytabaqah?
I
didn’t have this in my notes as well, but what sadiqatul_quran has written
seems like something that I remember hearing in class.
4) What were the names
of the scholars who gathered the Ahadith al-Mutawatira?
Al-kattani
5) What level of
knowledge/certainty do we get from the Ahadith al-Mutawatira?
We gain certain knowledge.
